Roll Call: Present: Pat Saum, Paul Doherty, Mike Smith, Rosie Paquette, Norma Stewart, Tom Nelson, Gregg Gropel, Fr. Tom, and Mary McLaughlin. Absent & Excused Jeff Wieneke, Patrice Hohn.
Approval of minutes from April, 15, 2010: Motion by Gregg / Paul. Passed.
Approval of Agenda with additions of Carpet under New Business: Motion by Paul / Norma. Passed.
Old Business
A) Gift of Condo – We had two couples interested in renting the condo. There was a vote on adding a chair lift to second floor the cost is approximately $11,000 and would be divided by the 11 owners; it passed 6-5 in favor.
B) Parish Council elections. Mary will put the ballots in the pews on Friday and Paul will put more out on Sunday. Paula and Rosie will count the ballots and call all of the candidates with the results.
New Business
A) Carpet: Jerry Hoff estimates new carpet for the Church would cost about $12,000. After much discussion it was decided to have Jerry re-carpet the back steps to the old passage way or remove the carpet, which ever Jerry recommends.
Reports:
A) Liturgy – No Report.
B) Faith Formation – No Report.
C) KC s – Tootsie roll sales went very well, $800 was raised for RCO. 2 new members were trained last week.
D) LCCW – On May 4th the ladies visited the St Francis House in Sioux Falls, a home for temporary housing. The Hotdish & Salad Luncheon will be on Thursday June 10th from 11-1.
E) Finance Council- the Building Fund status: a debt of $42,300 remains on the building project. John Oskness has 8 people (families) lined up to be trained to video the Mass. We have one bid and are waiting for another bid to repair or fix the link roof. Diane G. does not want help with cleaning at this time; the Audit will be reviewed at the next meeting, Mary & Fr. .Tom are reviewing the recommendations.
F) Social Ministry: the May meeting minutes were handed out. Amber Top and Lisa Kremer were the speakers. The next meeting will be in Sept.
G) Stewardship Council- No Report.
H) Administrator- Nothing additional.
I) Pastor: Fr. Tom distributed life-long learning packets to the membership.
Next Meeting: Thursday September 16 at 7:00.
