B) Parish nurse. Fr Tom presented a proposal to prepare for Parish Nurse Ministry in our parish cluster sometime in the future. He shared a handout about what it is. It would be a volunteer position about 3 hours a week. An RN certification and a one week training program in parish nursing is required. Grants are available for training. Fr. Tom said he will present the idea at all parish cluster meetings this spring. The Council endorsed the concept & expressed the need in our parish for parish nursing as a complement to Ministry of Care.
C) Electronic defibrillator for emergency heart resuscitation: There is grant money available from the Luverne Area Foundation and Sanford Hospital- Luverne so our cost would be about $500 - $600.
